Children’s Film Bonanza begins

SHILLONG: The weeklong Children’s Film Bonanza kick-started on Monday at Government Girls Higher Secondary School, West Garo Hills Tura organised by the Children’s Film Society, India (CFSI) with its outreach partner Cinedarbaar along with the support of Meghalaya Board of School Education.
Aayush Raj, Project Planner from Cinedarbaar is attending the film festival, CFSI Bonanza which will continue till September 4.
The festival aims to inculcate in children an interest in cinema and expose young students in North Eastern states to cinema so that they develop a keen interest in the aesthetics of film making and the art of film criticism.
Kima’s Lode- Beyond the Class – a story of a 12 year old boy from the remote border town of “Chhimtui” was screened for the children along with short animated fun films made by National Commission for Protection of Child Rights in order to create awareness about child protection rights among children.
Quiz competitions based on the films screened for children was organised in between screening of films and prizes were also given.
