Dadenggre: Chief Minister Dr. Mukul Sangma inaugurated the new Police Station at Damal Asim under Dadenggre Civil Sub-Division in West Garo Hills district in the presence of Clement Marak, Minister, Forests & Environment, Parliamentary Secretaries Limison D. Sangma and Noverfield R. Marak, Chairperson, State Development Reforms Commission Bluebell R. Sangma and DGP, Dr. S. B. Singh, among others on Monday.
The Chief Minister in his address said it was his joy and privilege to have had the opportunity to provide a police station for Damal Asim which was a long cherished dream of the people of the region, adding that there were people from the region who had abandoned farming and other activities and had gone looking for better opportunities due to pressures of militancy and insecurity they felt in their own backyards.
