Liquor worth Rs 62k stolen

SHILLONG: Miscreants broke into a wine store in Monabari, South West Garo Hills, owned by Matri Hajong and stole beer and IMFL amounting to Rs 62,100.
On Monday, miscreants broke into the shop of Overwell Shadap at Mawkyrwat (South West Khasi Hills) and stole cash of Rs 40,000.
In another incident, a man was apprehended by the residents of Mawpynthih village on Tuesday while attempting to break into the house of R Kharkongor.
The accused, Sagar Chettri, was later arrested by the police.
