SHILLONG: As part of their green initiative program, Dalmia Bharat Cement on Monday organised “Dalmia Bharat Cement Green Road Show” starting from Upper Lachumiere, Shillong to Bethany Society, Laitumkhrah.
The roadshow was flagged off by Padma Shri Manas Chaudhuri and was participated in great numbers by dealers and employees of Dalmia Cement.
The participants at the rally distributed saplings at dealer networks across the city and carried out a plantation drive within the premises of Bethany Society, Laitumkhrah where around 25 special children took part in the activity. Two young boys – Wanlamphrang Nongkhlaw and Dilbertstar L Nonglail also sang a song in the event.
The Road Show shall be followed by a brand promotion exercise for a period of 7 days where DALMIA cement would spread green consciousness among their channel partners in this market activation drive. Every channel partner would be presented with a symbolic green plant which would be planted at the dealer premises who would then shall be entrusted with taking care of the tree leading to a green surrounding.
