Bravehearts rescue youth from drowning in SWKH

Mawkyrwat: A 14-year-old boy and a 29-year-old man risked their lives by jumping into the deep waters of Wahsala river near Mawkyrwat on Saturday to rescue a youth from sure death.
According to eyewitnesses, the incident occurred on Saturday around 3pm at Mawpon when a group of people were bathing in the Wahsala river.
Johnyfast Wahlang (20) from Jakrem village ventured deeper in the water but was seen struggling to come out of the water as he was stuck in the sand.
It was then that Nathaniel Snaitang, a Class VII student of Maharam Govt. Higher Secondary School, Mawkyrwat and hailing from Nonglang village and another person Borbertstar Nongsiej from Rangmaw village, jumped into the water and rescued Johnyfast from the jaws of death.
