SHILLONG: HSPDP president Ardent Basaiawmoit on Thursday asked people of Mawngap to be wise while electing their representatives.
Speaking at the first meeting of the UDP-HSPDP alliance at Mawngap market, Basaiawmoit said voters should elect those who are sensitive to the issues of the indigenous communities.
In a bid to garner support for the alliance, the meeting was held in the market place in which he further stated that people are being misled and that only regional parties can take up the issues of indigenous community.
