Flood hits 1,2 lakh at Selsella, Tikrikilla

SHILLONG: Altogether, a population of 1.2 lakh have been affected in Selsella and Tikrikilla Block in West Garo Hills due to flood that hit the area on Monday.

As per the first information report of the West Garo Hills Deputy Commissioner,140 villages in two blocks were affected from the floods. While the damage to the crops and human lives is being assessed by the district administration.

The District Administration has set up 24 relief camps and gratuity relief for 14 days have been arranged.
