JOWAI: A veteran congress member in Jaintia Hills- who is also the Amwi-Khliehtyrshi MDC and former JHADC chief, Modonbai Rymbai has tendered his resignation letter to the Jowai Congress Block Committee, Awhoi Andrew Shullai.
His resignation will have a negative impact on the party in Jaintia Hills particularly the Jowai LA Constituency represented by RC Laloo.
Speaking to Rymbai, he informed that he resigned on personal grounds.
Meanwhile, sources informed that Rymbai resigned to support NPP candidate, Wailad Shylla.
“Khiehtyrshi village which is one of the vote bank of the Congress in Jowai LA Constituency will have a big blow to party”, said a Congress supporter from Mihmyntdu village.
It may be mentioned that, Rymbai has been elected for the third time as MDC and was a strong supporter of deputy chief minister RC Laloo.
