Meeting
The Meghalaya Upper Primary School Teachers Association state level will hold its Central Executive Committee on November 25 at Aiti Belti New Hope Restaurant, opposite KJP Assembly House, Barik at 11 am. It will discuss the silver jubilee celebration and the Association Constitutional Amendment 2017 and other important agendas. It requests all members to attend the meeting.
The Meghalaya Pensioners’ Association will be holding its 37th Annual general meeting on November 21 at 11:30 at the seminar hall, State Central Library.

Rice released
The Deputy Commissioner (Supply), East Khasi Hills District informed that the Rice under NFSA, 2013 for Priority House Holds & Antyodaya Anna Yojana and Rice under NON NFSA for the month of November quota in urban and rural has been released and will be distributed through the respective fair price shops.

Anisha Paul and Sujata Deb, who received awards and certificates in the state-level painting competition on energy conservation that took place on November 14, are from Rilbong LP School.

New school name
The Headmistress, Sarojini Naidu Girls’ Secondary School, R & R Colony informed that the name of the school viz; Umpling (R) Girls’ Secondary School has been changed to Sarojini Naidu Girls’ Secondary School.

Awareness
programme
The Department of Commerce, BBS College  in collaboration with  Gurukul Edutech, Kolkata organised  an Investor Awareness programme on Monday in the college premises. Two eminent resource persons, Jyotimoy, Kashyap, Head & Marketing Executive, MISTI ( Master’s Investment Skills, Training   Initiative) and Sumon Mann, Programme Co-ordinator, Gurukul Edutech, Kolkata spoke  on the occasion.
