State makes home guards recruitment transparent

SHILLONG: The state Cabinet on Tuesday amended rules 36 and 40 of the Meghalaya Civil Defence and Home Guards Subordinate Service Rules 2015 for bringing in transparent recruitment policy. There are around 300 vacancies to be filled.
Chief Minister Mukul Sangma said the government has lifted the ban on recruitment of personnel in the Civil Defence and Home Guards.
