Heroin seized
On November 30, while acting on inputs, Police conducted a house search in the residence of one Raja Roy (26) at Madanrting, Shillong and recovered 0.28 grams of suspected heroin from the house. Police arrested the house owner and another person identified as Ashit Dey (24).
Man assaults 60yr old mother
On November 30 at around 6 pm, one Khlainbor Suting assaulted his sixty year old mother in their residence at Nongkrem causing injuries to her. Victim was removed to Hospital for treatment. The matter is under investigation.
Accident
On November 30 around 6.20 pm, one Ford Figo car (ML-05F-8814) driven by Da-e-Bhamiki Wann knocked down Diang Ksoo at Ladmukhla in West Jaintia Hills. Victim sustained injuries and was shifted to CHC Ummulong for treatment. Matter is under enquiry.
On November 29 at about 10 pm, one motorcycle (AS-01DH-0713) knocked down one Depen Boro at 13th Mile, Byrnihat (RB). As a result, the victim sustained injuries and was admitted to GNRC hospital, Guwahati. After the incident, the motorcycle rider fled away.
Shop found counterfeiting Nivea products
Nayantra Demy lodged a complaint that last week during Market survey at Iewduh, Book Lane Shillong one shop styled as M/s Hussain & Son was found indulging in counterfeit cosmetics products of Nivea brand.
Man steals utensils
Siyoo Paslein lodged a complaint that her son Arwon Paslein stole utensil items valued around Rs. 1300 from their residence and sold them.
Truck capsizes while avoiding accident
On November 29 circa 9.15 am, one 4th MLP Bn., truck (ML-02-2009) driven by a battalion constable, capsized while avoiding an accident with one Bolero Camper (ML-06-8749) at Umkyllain village, NH-44E (WKH). Two police personnel Kingston N Sangma and Rocketson Kharjana sustained injuries and were hospitalized.
