Condemn crime against children: NCPCR

SHILLONG: The National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) has said Meghalaya should take measures to curb the rising number of crimes against children.
Yashwant Jain, a member of NCPCR, said people should be made aware of the basics of the POCSO Act and the Juvenile Justice Act.
He was speaking at the one-day state level workshop on the two Acts that was organised by NCPCR and the State Commission for Protection of Child Rights (SCPCR) here on Saturday.
The chairperson of SCPCR, Meena Kharkongor, was present at the function amongst others.
