No holiday on Dec 28, 29

SHILLONG: Unlike the previous years, Chief Minister Mukul Sangma ordered that December 28 and 29 will not be holidays.
Earlier, the Christmas holiday was inclusive of December 28 and 29 which would be compensated on any of the two Saturdays.
According to the order, to ensure completion of the pending works of the third quarter, including preparation of arrears and pay, December 28 and 29 will not be declared as holidays.
“It is expected that all officers will be in station and no leave will be allowed during that period,” the chief minister said in the order.
