Dry day
The DC West Khasi Hills District has notified that December 25 and January 1 will be declared as Dry Day in the district on account of Christmas and New Year respectively. All Legal shop, IMFL shops, Bar, Hotel, Canteen, CA. Bars, CS Shop out stills the Bonded warehouse will remain closed on the above mention dates. Violation of the above order will amount to punishment as per Excise Acts and Rules.
Software centre
The department of Computer Science, Lady Keane College, inaugurated the free and open source software centre in collaboration with spoken tutorial, IIT Bombay. Nongthymmai MLA Jemino Mawthoh attended the programme as chief guest.
E-Waybill workshop
The Office of the Commissioner of Taxes, Shillong, will conduct a two-day workshop on the implementation of E-Waybill under GST in the Office of the Commissioner of Taxes, Lower Lachumiere at 11 am on December 20 and 21.
