AICC sets up campaign & manifesto panels in M’laya

NEW DELHI: The Congress central leadership, which has remained unnerved by criticisms against its inaction in Meghalaya, announced its campaign and manifesto committees in the poll-bound state on Wednesday.
The 15-member campaign committee, headed by Home Minister HDR Lyngdoh, includes both the party MPs Vincent H Pala and Wansuk Syiem, besides three Cabinet Ministers MM Danggo, Zenith Sangma and Deborah Marak.
The other members of the powerful campaign committee are RV Lyngdoh, Kenney Khyriem, KC Momin, CB Marak, Fearless Warjri, Polycarp K Marak, Manstudy Nongrem, Richard Marak and Joplin Scott Shylla.
The eight-member manifesto committee, headed by Chief Minister Mukul Sangma, includes MPCC president DD Lapang, Deputy Chief Minister RC Laloo, Cabinet minister Ampareen Lyngdoh, former chief minister Salseng Marak and former speaker Charles Pyngrope as members.
Manas Dasgupta and James S Lyngdoh are two other members of the manifesto committee.
