JOWAI: The state government has included Jaintia Eastern College in Khliehriat in the scheme for community colleges with an aim to strengthen the institution that has been serving for the past 25 years, a statement by the local Congress body said.
“The inclusion of this college under this scheme not only helps the students of this area but also helps the college to deliver better education to the poor rural students and… improve the Gross Enrolment Ratio in the state,” said the president of the EJH District Congress Committee.
“The Committee extends its best wishes to Chief Minister Mukul Sangma and his council of ministers in the journey for the all-round development of the state in the years to come,” the statement said.
