TURA: Two teenage boys who vandalised the door of the Hawakhana Baptist Church on Christmas night have been apprehended by authorities in Tura on Tuesday.
“The two juveniles in conflict with law have been apprehended and produced in a juvenile court after legal formalities. Earlier they had confessed to their parents and the church that they committed it under the influence of alcohol,” said West Garo Hills SP MGR Kumar.
Both the accused were caught on security cameras kicking and breaking the glass door. The incident had created shock and disbelief across Garo Hills with demands for their quick arrest by authorities.
Since both are underage, they will be tried under laws of the juvenile court.
