Paul sets ball rolling for 2nd phase of Mawbah Road project

SHILLONG: West Shillong MLA,Paul Lyngdoh on Saturday inaugurated the first phase  as well as laid the initiation for the second phase of    Mawbah Road project.

Speaking on the occasion,  Paul Lyngdoh lamented that the  people of the area had been deprived the fruits of development for the past  45  years  even as he expressed confidence that the they would form the next Government in the state and the delivery of the services would be even better.

Claiming that  West Shillong constituency has the best road network in the entire state, Lyngdoh said five  new road  projects were initiated in the  constituency in the last five years.

Terming the newly inaugurated road as an asset for the constituency and its people, Lyngdoh expressed confidence that the future of the constituency would be as bright as a sun.

Earlier, officials from the PWD (Roads) asked the residents of the area to take care of the road to ensure its durability even as they asked people not to throw  garbage in the drain which spoils  the drain as well as the road.
