Severed head of infant recovered

SHILLONG: In a shocking incident, a severed head of an infant was recovered from Pyrnursula on Friday afternoon.

Police said that on Friday, around 2.30 PM, a head of an infant was brought to the compound of one   Rebelty Khongjee at Nongmadan, Shadsngi, Pynursula by a dog.

It is suspected that the dog brought the head to the compound from an unknown place.

Inquest has been done and the head  has been sent to Shillong   Civil Hospital for postmortem.
