Silver Jubilee of Marian Sodality concludes with religious fervour

TURA: The Silver Jubilee year Convention of Marian Sodality of Tura Diocese came to a close by ceremoniously retiring the Jubilee flag by Right Reverend Andrew Marak, Bishop of Tura and Reverend Antony Xavier, Director, MST, Tura diocese on 21st January, 2018 in the presence of a large gathering of MST members from Garo Hills at Don Bosco School Playground, Chandmary, Tura. The Sunday Eucharistic celebration was presided over by Right Rev Andrew Marak, Bishop of Tura diocese along with other priests from parishes in and around Tura.

In his homily Bishop Andrew said that we should repent for our sins and turn over a new leaf and live our life afresh and follow God’s will. He also urged all the faithful to strengthen their faith according to the Gospel of the Lord adding that while we make our living we should choose our trade according to the gospel values. Further, while appreciating the dedicated service of Marian Sodality he urged upon them to continue their activities for the benefit of the church and society as well.

During this 3-day convention, sessions based on the theme were deliberated by Rev Father C J Jose, Sister Mary Sangma and Father Levio T Sangma while Sister Lorna enthralled the gathering with her animation. More than 2000 participants attended this annual convention.

The Marian Sodality members before closing the convention resolve to visit families and bring back those who stay away from the church and continue their meditation every first Saturday of the month.  “Marian Jaku”, Marian Sodality Souvenir was also released on the occasion.
