Meghalaya dancers’ body to place demands before CM

SHILLONG : The All Meghalaya Dancer’s Association (AMDA) will meet Chief Minister Conrad Sangma anytime this month to place its demands before the CM to promote talents in the state.

President of the association, Kitbok Thabah told reporters that in the memorandum, the AMDA demanded a state dancing/singing institution-cum-hostel.

“We also demand that dancing and singing should be included in the school curriculum which will be an employment oriented platform for them,” he said.

The association also demand for grants to youngsters who participate in national level programmes and grants for singing and dancing private institutes.

The association demands that dancing and singing should be included in the Youth Talented Skills Development.
