Accident
On March 17 around 4.45 am, a jeep (ML-05C-8390) driven by Lari Syiemiong (22) collided with one truck (NL-01AA-3095) at Mawkhanu, Shillong Bypass . As a result, the driver and three occupants of the jeep sustained injuries and were shifted to NEIGRIHMS.

One found hanging
On March 15 around 11 pm, Headmi Phawa was found to have committed suicide by hanging at his residence at Mukhla village (WJH). However, his relatives lodged a complaint suspecting it to be a murder case. The matter is under investigation.

Fake challans
On March 13, a complaint was lodged that Patjim Kharsyntiew sold eleven fake coal challans amounting to Rs. 3,74,000 to Pynsuklang Matlai of Ladweitang, Nongstoin (WKH). Police arrested the accused.
