Body found
On March 18 around 9.15 am, one unidentified male body was recovered from the footpath near Civil Hospital, Shillong. Necessary formalities have been observed and the cadaver was sent to Hospital for pm examination.

Assault
On March 18 around 10.15 am, one person identified as Prem assaulted Mahesh Dutta (58) at Jhalupara, Shillong. Victim sustained injuries and was admitted to the hospital.
On March 17 around 11 pm, one person identified as Hun assaulted Alester Katrai at Umpling, Dongsurok, Shillong. The victim sustained injuries and was admitted to the hospital.
Bilkiz Lyngdoh of Harisabha, Laban lodged a complaint that on March 17 morning, one Asif Wahlang and his wife assaulted her at her residence when the complainant objected to his loud remarks and inappropriate behavior. They also attempted to stab the complainant with a knife and smashed a cup on her head, causing injuries to her and also threatened with a counter FIR against the complainant.

Missing
A girl was reported missing from her Pohkseh residence since March 16, 2018.
One seventeen-year-old boy from Mission Mairang (WKH) was reported missing since March 15, 2018.
Last Mary Shylla (25) was reported missing from her residence at Riat Laban, Kynjat Phutbol, Shillong, since March 18, 2018.

Theft
Suzzanna Kharwan Nongrum lodged a complaint that on March 18 around 10.45 am, miscreants stole one cell-phone from her vehicle which was parked at Motinagar, Shillong.
Bai Dhar lodged a complaint that on March 14 around 6.30 pm, her water storage tank was found missing. Later, it was found in the possession of one Uday Singh @ Pagla and his associates.
Suraj Tali of Barengapara (WGH) lodged a complaint that on March 13 around 8.30 pm, one Taiming Sangma was caught red handed while he was stealing a cell-phone from his shop.
Miscreants broke into the mobile repairing shop of Mesaia L Iawlar of Diengsyiang village and stole 20 mobile phone and cash of Rs 20,000 on Friday. The shop owner has filed an FIR and the matter is under investigation.

Ransom call
Crosswell Marak of Damalgre village (SWGH) lodged a complaint that on March 9 around 7.55 pm, he received anonymous phone call, in which the caller claiming to be a former GNLA cadre demanded Rs. 15 lakh from him and also threatened with dire consequences.

Fraud
Phitil Sangma, job card holder of Chirakata village (EKH) lodged a complaint that one Aditson Sangma (Edit Sangma), Secy., of Village Employment Council of Chirakata village has misappropriated funds sanctioned under MGNREGS and also received her wages by using thumb impression against her name. Further, the accused had also withdrawn money of the complainant’s late mother-who was a job card holder and others who have already passed away.

FIR over Facebook post
A complaint was lodged that on January 13 around 1.50 pm, Gongbin Marak posted on his Facebook account in Garo language, which translates as “If Mukul is to be elected at Songsak MLA, bandh will be called for 365 days straight after the day of counting”
