SHILLONG: The HSPDP is yet to decide on accepting the resignation of party president Ardent Basaiawmoit and the continuation of alliance with UDP.
HSPDP member and Cabinet Minister Samlin Malngiang said the party will meet soon to take a decision on who will lead HSPDP following the resignation of Basaiawmoit.
Basaiawmoit quit the post due to the Assembly polls debacle.
He said the meeting of both HSPDP and UDP will be held to discuss whether the alliance should continue or not.
Last week, the UDP held a meeting to discuss the viability of the alliance.
The coalition of UDP and HSPDP christened as Regional Democratic Alliance will meet soon to discuss whether to continue the alliance in future.
