New route
On a trial basis, vehicles are allowed to enter the new road from Little Blossom School (near Polo Towers) towards City Hut Dhaba Junction – Police Bazaar and vise versa. The vehicles, however, will not be allowed to take a right turn from Pegasus Crown Hotel for proceeding towards Police Bazaar (which will be a one way Zone) but will be allowed to take the right turn near the old High Court.
Members elected
An organization, Nala Rympei Youth Front has been dissolved and has associated with the Hynniewtrep people’s Federation central body. The new office bearers of HPF Ri Bhoi District are Apborlang Nongrum as president, Tanborlang Warjri as vice president, Micky Dkhar as general secretary, Defender Rynghang as assistant general secretary besides others.
Awareness
The Na Rympei Self Help group, Iewpomtiah, Nongkrem organised a two-day awareness programme on waste management cum organic farming on March 26 and 27. The resource person from Bethany Society, Khrawbok Rumnong spoke on management and recycle of waste.
Teachers’ meet
The State Level Meghalaya Upper Primary School Teachers Association (MUPSTA), will hold its central executive committee at the resident of its president K. Shadap at Professor Colony, Kharmalki, Malki at 11 am on April 7. All CEC members falling under the banner of the MUPSTA are requested to attend the meeting.
