SHILLONG: The state police will co-ordinate with their Delhi counterpart in investigating the death of 22-year-old Wandalin Kongor of Ri Bhoi district, Chief Minister Conrad Sangma said on Wednesday.
Replying to a zero hour notice moved by Congress MLA Mayralborn Syiem, Sangma informed that a case was registered at Vasant Vihar police station in New Delhi and the investigation was in progress.
The decomposed body of Kongor, who worked in a BPO, was found in her apartment in the national capital on March 28.
Sangma said the woman was staying in a rented house owned by Anil Verma at Munirka.
“Ri Bhoi police are in contact with Delhi police for getting updates on the case and has offered full co-operation,” he added.
Raising concern over the safety and security of locals working or studying outside the state, especially in big cities, Syiem pointed out it was important to look into the issue.
