Conrad congratulates voters of Williamnagar

WILLIAMNAGAR: Meghalaya chief Minister Conrad K Sangma has expressed his gratitude to the people of Williamnagar for electing his party candidate Marcuise N Marak.

“I congratulate and thank the people of 43-Williamnagar Constituency on behalf of National People’s Party for having faith in our candidate and the party. On this occasion, as we celebrate the victory of NPP and our candidate Marcuise Marak, I would like to thank God for being with us in our journey and mission to create a new Meghalaya,” said the chief minister.

He expressed confidence that Marcuise Marak would provide leadership and represent the voice and aspiration of the people of Williamnagar Constituency.

“Marcuise Marak has been part of our party for long and has worked hard to strengthen the party. His experience and leadership qualities will help NPP to further push growth and development in Meghalaya,” said Conrad Sangma.

Marcuise Marak was first elected to the assembly from Williamnagar in the year 2008 by defeating then minister Deborah Marak. Five years later, he lost to Deborah in the 2013 polls.

Giving his appreciation and gratitude to his party leaders, workers and supporters, the chief minister stated, “This is a not just a victory for Williamnagar but for the people of Meghalaya. I dedicate this victory to the people, the party, and my late father Purno Agitok Sangma.”
