SHILLONG: The Catholic Association of Shillong has appealed to all to maintain peace and harmony in the context of unrest in Shillong.

The association also offered its prayers and said that the unfortunate events in Shillong for  the last few days have resulted in a lot of hardships and inconveniences to the people.

The daily labourers, school children, the sick at home and in the hospitals are the worst affected and particularly the closure of the Iewduh has resulted in unrecoverable loss to the farmers whose perishable agricultural products find no avenues for sale.
