The general body meeting of the Upper Mawprem Council under Gorkha Public Panchyat will be held on June 24 at 10:30 am at Cultural Centre Hall, Upper Mawprem to elect the new executive members.

Meghalaya Pradesh Congress Committee expressed grief at the sudden demise of Emraj Newar, General Secretary, Tura City, in an accident on June 9. MPCC prayed for the eternal repose of the departed soul and expressed condolences to the bereaved family.

The Eid-Ul -Fitre congregational prayer will be held on June 16 (subject to the sighting of the moon) at 8:30 am in the Mohammadia-Al-Hussainee Masjid premises.The prayer will be led by Janab Qaiser Raza, Imam of the Masjid.
