SHILLONG: KHADC CEM P.N Syiem will begin a series of consultations from Thursday to get the opinion of the people on whether he should contest from Ranikor during the by-poll.
Syiem said on Wednesday that after the consultation meeting on Thursday in the city, another meeting will be held at Rangthong in South West Khasi Hills on July 3 followed by a third at Wahkaji on July 5.
Lastly, Syiem will hold a meeting in Ranikor to get the feedback from the people.
Syiem, who unsuccessfully contested the last Assembly polls from Mawsynram, pointed out that Mawsynram and Ranikor are contiguous areas and there will not be any problem for him to contest from Ranikor.
He also reminded that earlier, P.K Raswai from Mawkyrwat had contested from Langrin.
