Mawkynrew PHC dogged by poor facilities

SHILLONG: Mawkynrew Public Health Centre (PHC) has been dogged poor infrastructure that has incapacitated in delivering better health services to the rural community of  the area.

MLA/MDC of Mawkynrew, Banteidor Lyngdoh paid a surprise visit to the PHC on Tuesday in which he found that the labour room was damp and water leaking.

In a statement issued by the MDC Mawkynrew office, Lyngdoh found that the quarters of doctors, staff and guard were not proper.

Lyngdoh has assured to take up the matter with the Health Minister.
