Accident
On July 3 around 8:00pm, one tempo (unknown registration) collided with another tempo at Ichaguri Tri-Junction in South West Garo Hills. Two occupants sustained injuries and were taken to a nearby hospital.
Assault
Sharmila Devi lodged a complaint stating that on July 3 around 1:30pm, one Rishan Kumar Rai assaulted her, snatched her gold chain and threatened her family members with dire consequences near NEEPCO office in Demseiniong.
A woman lodged a complaint stating that on June 28 around 8:00pm, her ex-husband Beki Dkhar of Khliehtyrshi village in West Jaintia Hills assaulted her. She also stated that after losing consciousness, the accused took her to his residence and threatened her with dire consequences.
A woman lodged a complaint stating that on the evening of June 27, her husband Juhki Shylla assaulted her and took one of her children to his village at Myndihati village in West Jaintia Hills. The child was later rescued.
Car abandoned
On the morning of July 5, one damaged Maruti Alto k10 (ML-11-1349) was found abandoned at Jyntru in Ri Bhoi. The vehicle was towed to Nongpoh police station.
Fire
On July 3 around 2:30am, a fire broke out in the house of Daplang Shabong at Kynsiew village under Mairang PS. The house was totally gutted and loss of property is estimated to be around Rs 3,50,000.
Fraud
Marina Sintang Marak lodged a complaint stating that on June 28 around 7:15pm, she detected one fake Facebook account using her name. She also stated that inappropriate pictures were uploaded in the account to defame the complainant.
Theft
On July 4 around 11:00am, unknown miscreant(s) stole one motorcycle (ML-10B-6316) belonging to Bristarly Lyngdoh from his residence at Umlyngkdait in Nongpoh.
Iaidsuk Thoo lodged a complaint stating that on April 6, she had lost her ATM card at Rynjah Bazar. Later, she noticed that unknown miscreant(s) has withdrawn Rs 19,14,908 from her account.
Toddler drowned
On July 3 around 3:00pm, a two-year-old girl of Magurmari village under Mahendraganj PS in South West Garo Hills drowned in the Rongkai River. Efforts are on to retrieve the body.
Threat
Sanjib Ch Marak of Masighat village under Baghmara PS in South Garo Hills lodged a complaint stating that on June 24, one Raseng R Marak, armed with a country-made gun, picked up a quarrel with him and threatened his (complainant) labourer with dire consequences.
Nocy Sungoh of Shangpung Khlieh Mushut village in West Jaintia Hills lodged a complaint stating that on June 13, she had received an anonymous phone call, wherein the caller threatened her with dire consequences.
