SHILLONG: Sobujer Dol-a socio cultural organisation, Shillong, celebrated the 157th birth anniversary of Rabindra Nath Tagore and 119th birth anniversary of Bidrohi Kabi Kazi Nazrul Islam at laban Bengalee Boys’ Higher Secondary School.
The programme started with the welcome prayers where readings from Holy Gita, The Bible, Holy Quran, Sikhism and Satyanusaran.
A web-site www.-sobujerdol.org was also launched by Putul Chak-raborty, renowned violinist.
Prize distribution of Inter-Shillong Craft Making Competition and Think Write and Recite competition was also held.
