SHILLONG: After the UDP on Wednesday decided to go it alone for the Ranikor by-poll, the PDF chief PN Syiem asserted that he will contest the by-poll respecting the sentiments of the people.
Syiem said he held a meeting in Mawpud village under Ranikor constituency on Wednesday and the people have extended their support to him.
The former KHADC CEM said he will be the common candidate in Ranikor supported by several UDP, NPP, BJP and Congress leaders besides the PDF members.
