Baby born in 108 Ambulance

SHILLONG: On Saturday around 4:36 am, a Brynihat based 108 ambulance was dispatched to transport Risha Mary Suting (24) who was pregnant, from Byrnihat PHC.
Suting went into labor and delivered a healthy baby boy at 5:20 am along the highway near Brynihat PHC. EMT Recoverland  Kharbuki assisted with the delivery which was conducted inside the ambulance. Both the mother and baby admitted back at Brynihat PHC. The 108 Ambulance continues to facilitate deliveries, with several cases reported in the last few days, as connectivity to rural hospitals remains a challenge.
