Police conduct mine raids, six held

SHILLONG: Police along with the magistrate conducted mine raids in areas under Umshong village, East Jaintia Hills and recovered one thousand gelatin sticks and one thousand detonators from the coal mining site at Umsong.
Police also apprehended six persons, Rikordor Lamare, Ritu Boro, Padom Magor, Dawa Sherpa, Mukesh Timung and Dawa Sherpa. Matter is under enquiry.
