Arms ammunition recovered in Baksa of Assam

GUWAHATI: Even as vigil has been mounted all over Assam especially along inter-state boundaries as well as international boundaries in the state in the run-up to Independence Day, a joint team of Army and Police on Thursday recovered  a cache of Arms and ammunition from Uttarkuchi in Baksa district of Assam.

The recovery included one AK-56 assault rifle, one magazine and 10 rounds of ammunition. The security personnel have laid siege to the area and launched a search operation.
