Election observers meet political parties in Tura

TURA: In view of the bye-election in South Tura, General Observer, Benudhar Behara and Expenditure Observer, S K Narayana Reddy met the representatives of political parties on Thursday evening at DRDA Conference Hall, Tura. During the meeting, the General Observer Benudhar Behera advised them to adhere to the guidelines of Model Code of Conduct (MCC) in order to ensure smooth conduct of elections in South Tura.
Expenditure Observer, S K Narayana Reddy told the representatives of political parties to inform if there is any problem with regard to the expenditure statement of their respective candidates.
West Garo Hills District Election Officer, Ram Singh also advise them to follow the guidelines of MCC and asked them to attend whenever they are called for monitoring of their expenditures and to submit their election expenditure statement when they are ask for. He sought cooperation of all for the conduct of free and fair election.
Returning Officer to South Tura Assembly Constituency, S B Marak informed the representatives of political parties that the supplement which was printed after the changes made during continuous up-dation up to the last date of making nomination would be provided to the political parties.
Expenditure observer in Tura
The Election Commission appointed Expenditure Observer for South Tura By-poll, S K Narayana Reddy, IRS is now camping at Tura Circuit House in Room No 6. Any complaint regarding expenditure issues may be lodged to him in person or over phone at 9383016720 or 03651-223378.
