Man detained for carrying cannabis
Police arrested one person for carrying cannabis in an ASTC night super bus on Friday. The accused identified as Anush Kumar (45) along with two juveniles (15 and 17 years old), were travelling to Shillong in one ASTC night super bus (AS-20-1879). On conducting a checking around 51.155 kgs of cannabis was recovered, the police said. Kumar has been arrested, while the juveniles were apprehended and set to Juvenile Justice Court.

Fake FB account
On August 16, Dowinick M Sangma lodged a complaint that one Bless Drew S Sangma opened a fake Facebook account in the name of Chimu M Sangma and uploaded photos and inappropriate comments.

Theft
On August 15 around 9 am, miscreants stole one Scooty (ML-05Q-0198) belonging to Poonam Puabha from her residence at DGAR, Laitkor (EKH).
One Eakub Ali lodged a complaint that on the night of August 14, miscreant(s) broke into his shop at Kulupara village (SWGH) and stole one computer set, two cell-phones and other items.
Lt. Col Rajneesh Jha, Medical officer, Artificial Limb Centre in Pune, lodged a complaint that on August 14, miscreants stole his bag containing cash Rs. 30,000 and clothing from a hired vehicle (ML-05P-6546) parked near Ka Phan Nonglait Park, Shillong.
On August 13, miscreants stole cash Rs. 7,000, one cell-phone and valuable documents belonging to Sagar Rai of Madanrting, Shillong, while he was travelling in a local taxi.
A complaint was lodged that between August 11-14, miscreants stole a motorcycle (ML-05G-1071) from the residence of Teinam Nongtnger at Dongkadiang, Nongmensong, Shillong.

Robbery
One Sarafat Hussain lodged a complaint that on August 15 night, miscreants forcibly entered his house at Kalupara (SWGH) and took away Rs. 1 lakh cash, gold ornaments, four cell-phones and one computer monitor. The miscreants also took away the complainant’s motorcycle, keys to Bolero vehicle and motorcycle. However, the same were later found near Ghugragandi BSF check post.
