Re-examination
West Jaintia Hills SP, Vivek Syiem has informed that the Central Recruitment Board has decided to re-conduct the Un-armed Branch Sub-Inspector (UBSI) examination in General English Paper-I objective type at 10 am on August 25. This is to inform to the District candidates, who had appeared for the said exams, that the venue will be at the Kiang Nangbah Government College, Jowai. Candidates are requested to report one hour before the scheduled time and should produce their Admit Card already issued.

Alumni meet
The second general meeting of the Gorkha Secondary School Alumni Association will be held in the Auditorium of Gorkha Secondary School, Upper Shillong-5 at 11 am on September 16.

Awareness programme
North East Network (NEN) on Monday holds an awareness programme for private institutions on Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace. A safe workplace is a woman’s legal right as guaranteed by Articles 14, 15 and 21 of the Indian Constitution and the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act 2013, seeks to do the same.
