SHILLONG: It was complete chaos and   madness at the Jorabat junction as rain induced flood water along with mud led to stranding of the vehicles on the road and many commuters faced harrowing time earlier on Friday.

The Khanapara junction on Friday morning witnessed grave water logging  which slowed down the traffic causing congestion on the road for hours .

While there was huge number of trucks from Assam side, the Assam police was regulating the traffic in the junction. As they stopped traffic from Meghalaya side to let Guwahati traffic go to upper Assam, there was a sea of vehicles stranded on the road on Meghalaya side. Water was entering people’s shops, houses and even localities.
