Train running affected due to derailment of good trains

GUWAHATI:  Twenty  wagons of a goods train derailed on Saturday  at around 11-30 am between Digaru and Panbari stations about 28 KMs away from Guwahati under Lumding Division of N.F. Railway. Out of 20 derailed wagons five wagons capsized thereby stopping movement of up and down train services between Guwahati and Lumding. Accident Relief Train is at site and senior officials from HQ and / Division are at site supervising the restoration work. General Manager of N.F. Railway is personally monitoring the operation for restoration of services at the earliest, according to the NF Railway CPRO, P J Sharma.

As a result of derailment 19 passenger trains were cancelled while four trains short terminated.  Seven trains were regulated.
