Garo body condemns police for civilian’s death

TURA: The All A’chik Youth Welfare Society (AAYWS), Tura has condemned the alleged assault on a civilian by police at Songsak in East Garo Hills, leading to his death a few days later.
Earlier, a team led by Police in-charge, N Nongkhlaw of Dagal Outpost under Songsak PS had taken in Hillary Marak, a teacher of St Joseph Secondary School from a roadside for creating nuisance. He was later released but died a few days later.
