Week-long training on office procedures concludes at Ampati

AMPATI: A week-long training programme on office procedures was organized for the government officials and ministerial staff of South West Garo Hills district at Ampati DRDA conference hall recently.

The training programme was organised by the District Administration of South West Garo Hills under the aegis of Meghalaya Administrative Training Institute (MATI), Shillong.

The training was conducted by retired Joint Secretary to the Govt of Meghalaya, Shillong, G. K. Sangma, Addl. Deputy Commissioner, Ampati,  D. D. Shira, Treasury Officer, Ampati, P.V.K. Marak and retired Supervisory Assistant, Ampati,  K. Ch. Marak as the main resource persons. They took up issues and topics like Manual of office procedures, forms and rules of correspondence, administrative arrangements, inter-departmental references, discipline, conduct & etiquette of public servants, security of official information, financial management, documents & checks on delays, issue, receipt & distribution of Dak, action on receipts, notes & orders and filing system along with practicials, among others matters.

Deputy Commissioner, Ramkumar S. personally monitored the training and took a few minutes every day to interact with and motivate the participants during the entire training programme.
