SHILLONG: The Bharat  bandh called by Congress party had no impact in the city on Monday. All the business establishments, education institutions and offices remained functional during the day even though Congress party organised a procession to register protest against spiralling prices of petroleum fuels.

It may be mentioned that the High Court of Meghalaya few years back had banned  calling of bandh in the city.
