Security panel reconstituted

SHILLONG: The government has reconstituted the State Security Commission, Chief Minister Conrad Sangma said in the Assembly on Thursday.
Replying to a supplementary query by Congress MLA Dikkanchi Shira, Conrad said the Commission consists of the chief minister as chairman, the home minister as vice-chairman and the leader of opposition as a member. It also has chief secretary, additional chief secretary/principal secretary, DGP and two independent members.
Leader of the opposition Mukul Sangma said he was not informed on the last meeting held on July 11.
Conrad said letters were sent to respective persons prior to the meeting.
