Wansuk conferred ‘Ambassador of Peace’

NEW DELHI: Rajya Sabha MP Wansuk Syiem has been honoured with the prestigious ‘Ambassador of Peace’ title by the Inter Religious Association for Peace and Development (IAPD) in a ceremony recently at the Parliament House.
Launched about two decades ago, ‘Ambassadors for Peace’ is the largest and most diverse network of peace leaders from all walks of life representing many races, religions, nationalities and cultures.
Union Minister of State for Minority Affairs Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi was the only other Ambassador of Peace announced by the US-based international orgnanisation on Saturday.
The conference was organised by the IAPD in cooperation with the Universal Peace Foundation and North East MPs Forum.
