TURA: The 1st Battalion of the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), based in Assam will be conducting Familiarization Exercise for Community Awareness on Disaster Management in East Garo Hills from November 12 to 18.
According to an official release issued in this regard, the awareness for teachers, students and staff of Williamnagar Government College will be organized in the college premises and for police officers of the district at DRDA Hall on November 12 and 13 respectively. The same programme will be held at Warimagre locality of Williamnagar on flood mitigation measures and for the government officers, staff, etc. at Deputy Commissioner’s office premises on November15 and 16 respectively.
On November 17, awareness will be conducted for the merchants, traders, etc. at Rongjeng Bazaar of the district.
