Diwali greetings
The Global Indian Social Welfare Forum, Shillong Cantonment Board Employees’ Union, Global Social Welfare Organisation conveyed Diwali greetings to the people of the state. The members of Yogamaya Ashram inform that the occasion of Sri Sri Dipanwita Kali Puja will be celebrated at Yogamaya Ashram Three Pine Colony in Laban.
Applications invited
The Sub-Divisional Officer (Supply), Sohra Civil Sub-Division, Sohra invited fresh applications for appointment as government nominee/wholesale dealership in PDS for the year 2019 for approved wholesale centres namely Mawkdok, Lad Sohbar, Laitryngew, Shella and Sohra. Interested person are to apply in the prescribed format of Form-I of the Meghalaya Food Grains (PDS) Control Order, 2004, which may be collected from the Office of the Sub-Divisional Officer, Sohra Civil Sub-Division during working hours on all working days. The last date for submission of applications is on or before November 16.
Raid
In its continued drive against illicit liquor, the Excise staff of East Khasi Hills District, Shillong conducted raids in restaurants and stalls in the town and its outskirts where during the month of September, the Excise detected 24 cases with a seizure of 102.950 litres of i/d liquor and 66.385 litres IMFL. In this connection 20 persons were arrested.

Customers can visit BSNL CSC for any service they require even on holidays. B.
