SHILLONG: The state government is unlikely to appoint a new East Khasi Hills deputy commissioner immediately after PS Dkhar was promoted as Commissioner and Secretary in–charge Sports.
An official source said there will not be any immediate replacement of the current deputy commissioner. The official also pointed out that there were instances in the past when deputy commissioners had held other posts too.
However, the official added that next year, there will be reshuffle in view of the Lok Sabha polls since Dkhar has already completed three years in office.
